Our body is predominantly made of water. Water is essential for bodily functions such as digestion and metabolism. Water also helps the body to remove waste as well as transport water soluble Vitamins and nutrients.

Our daily activity dehydrates the body and we need to regularly hydrate. I find that drinking two tall glasses of water first thing in the morning after brushing teeth helps a lot.

Additionally it is good to drink a glass of water an hour before exercise and after exercise. This will help replace the dehydration caused during the workout session.
